Indeed, even if they have an attractive look and cost at first sight, the effect will only be of short duration since after a few hours of use, the defects will appear involving, if possible, a partial or complete repair...

All accordions don't appreciate inactivity.
The successive temperature differences age the skins of the music and the valves, alter the seals and felts, oxidize the blades and the mechanics, cause mold... Your accordion must breathe and must not be stored for several months, even several years in a cupboard. , an attic…

Old and well-made accordions can be restored if their general condition allows it. It does not leave for as much for a second life because certain elements are weakened over time (bellows, mechanics…), It must therefore be used with moderation and respect for its great age!
